1. Commission Officers
General

Warrant Officer Class 2
They assist in the training and management of junior NCOs and enlisted soldiers. WO2’s salary ranges from GHS 3,000 to GHS 4,500 per month.
Staff Sergeant
Staff Sergeants are experienced leaders who oversee squads and platoons. A Staff Sergeants earn between GHS 2,000 and GHS 3,000 per month.
Sergeant
Sergeants are responsible for the training and discipline of soldiers within their squad. The salary of a Sergeant ranges from GHS 1,800 to GHS 2,500 per month.
Corporal
Corporals lead smaller groups of soldiers and are in charge of day-to-day tasks. Corporals typically earn between GHS 1,500 and GHS 2,000 per month.
Lance Corporal
This rank assists Corporals and usually supervises a small group of soldiers. Lance Corporals earn a monthly salary ranging from GHS 1,200 to GHS 1,800.
Private
The starting rank for new recruits in the Ghana Army. Privates, being the entry-level rank, earn between GHS 1,000 and GHS 1,500 per month.

Ghana Army General Eligibility Requirements
- Candidate must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth
- He or she should not be married
- Applicant should have a good character with no criminal record
- He or she must not be bonded
- All applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 26 at the time of application
- He will be required to pass the pre joining fitness test
- Minimum height of 1.68m for males and 1.60m for females
- Must have passed WASSCE or BECE with at least six credit passes
