Junior Immigration Officer Salary in Ghana Per Month
A Junior Immigration Officer is an entry-level officer at the Ghana Immigration Service. Junior Immigration Officers are mostly WASSCE recruits or graduates from senior secondary schools.
Junior Immigration Officers are the lowest ranks in the Immigration Service. Therefore, expect the salary of a Junior Immigration officer to not be much.
The salary of a Junior Immigration officer in Ghana typically ranges from ¢1,500 — ¢2,500 per month within the first year of recruitment. This may not include allowances such as house allowance, travel allowance, uniform allowance and risk allowance.
Junior Immigration officer salary is based on the Single Spine Salary Structure which states that all government workers must be paid based on qualifications, years of service and rank.
This means as a junior immigration officer, expect your salary to be lower than that of your superiors. However, as you gain more experience and promotions, your salary also increases.
Ranks and Salaries of Ghana Immigration Officers
These are the salaries and ranks of the Immigration Service officers:
A Comptroller-General of Immigration salary is from GHS 12,000 – GHS 15,000 per month.
Deputy Comptroller-General of Immigration salary ranges from GHS 9,000 – GHS 12,000 per month.
A Commissioner of the Ghana Immigration Service salary ranges GHS 12,000 – GHS 15,000 per month.
The salary of Deputy Commissioner of Immigration starts from GHS 9,000 – GHS 12,000 per month.
An Assistant Commissioner of Immigration makes between GHS 7,500 – GHS 9,000 per month as salary.
Chief Superintendent of Immigration salary falls within GHS 6,500 – GHS 7,500 per month.
A Superintendent of Immigration earns from GHS 5,000 – GHS 6,500 per month.
The salary of a Deputy Superintendent of Immigration GHS 3,500 – GHS 5,000 per month.
Assistant Superintendent of Immigration GHS 2,500 – GHS 3,500 per month.
The salary of a Junior Immigration Officer in Ghana is from GHS 1,500 – GHS 2,500 per month.
