1. Junior Custom Officer Salary 


Junior custom officers are also known as WASSCE recruits. They are usually the lowest ranks in the Custom Service. A junior custom officer salary usually ranges from ¢1,500 — ¢2,500 per month.


This salary is for the newly recruited WASSCE certificate holders. This is the entry-level salary for high school graduates. The salary increases with time. 


2. Senior Custom Officer Salary 


After gaining experience for sometime, junior custom officers are promoted to senior ranks. Senior custom officers are usually between junior officers and Assistant Commissioner.


The salary of a senior Custom Officer in Ghana ranges from ¢2,500 - ¢4,000 per month, depending on his or her rank and role.


3. Assistant Commissioner and Commissioner 


These are usually the highest ranking officers in the Custom Service. They are officers who have held managerial or high-ranking positions, such as Assistant Commissioner or Commissioner.


They are the highest earners in the Custom Service. In Ghana, the salary of an Assistant Commissioner or Commissioner at the Custom Service ranges from ¢7,000 and above per month.


Aside these salaries, Ghana custom service sometimes receive travel allowance, uniform allowance, risk allowance and housing allowance.
