I had this friend back in high school who was so much interested in joining the Navy. I remember him telling me his aim was not to become rich but to serve the nation. Despite his dedication to serve his nation, he was still much very interested in how much the Navy earn per month.
Like other security services and government employees in the country, the salary of the Ghana Navy is being influenced by years of service, qualifications and rank. You cannot expect a WASSCE recruit to earn the same salary as a degree recruit or a senior officer.
